Engaging with Europe’s Business and Cultural Community in Korea

Last week, Pearson & Partners Korea had the pleasure of participating in two exceptional events hosted by the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK); both showcasing the strength, diversity, and collaborative spirit of the European business community in Seoul.

Building Dialogue at the ECCK CEO Forum

On October 14, Pearson & Partners Korea attended the second ECCK CEO Forum of 2025, held at the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul. The exclusive luncheon brought together a select group of CEOs and senior representatives from ECCK member companies, creating an intimate environment for strategic discussions and meaningful exchange.

The session featured H.E. Ugo Astuto, Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Korea, who led a compelling conversation on “The current status of the EU–Korea relationship in times of geopolitical uncertainties.” Ambassador Astuto shared valuable insights into the evolving partnership between Europe and Korea, highlighting the importance of collaboration in key areas such as supply chain resilience, green transition, and digital transformation.

The dialogue was both thought-provoking and productive, as participants exchanged views on policy developments, market trends, and new opportunities for cooperation between the EU and Korea. The forum underscored the continued commitment of European businesses to innovation, partnership, and long-term engagement in the Korean market.

Experiencing Art and Connection at the ECCK Gallery Tour

The following day, our team joined the ECCK Gallery Tour: an evening that combined art, culture, and professional networking. The event began at Gallery Hyundai with a guided tour of an exhibition by Minjung Kim, one of Korea’s most acclaimed contemporary artists. Participants then visited Hakojae Gallery and Kukje Gallery, exploring some of Seoul’s most renowned and inspiring art spaces.

With perfect autumn weather and great company, the tour offered a refreshing opportunity to connect with peers in a relaxed, creative setting. The evening concluded at Kukje Gallery’s café, where guests enjoyed wine, canapés, and lively conversation. As always, ECCK events deliver; bringing together influential leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals who shape the European business landscape in Korea.
